Ladies and Gentlemen,

During my term mayor of your municipality Apollo in Lefkada realized the great potential of Lefkada in the development of water sports and water sports.

This is confirmed by the Greek Olympics, but also by foreign athletes that bring the company of specialized tourism (Sailing and Windsurfing) which not only helps our area in the inflow of foreign tourists to help Lefkada gain worldwide fame as a region with ideal conditions for water sports.

So a few years ago organized the first European Championship Hobie Cat 16 (Catamaran) in Greece with over 230 entries. We have also co-organized two (2) Czech National Slalom Windsurfing Championships and several European Professional Tour events.

Also companies operating in the region, attracting top athletes with their coaches for coaches camp. Currently we have the coach of the British Olympic team with a weekly training program Laser-type vessels, and continued by the guru of the Match racing in Britain.

It is obvious that such events attract the media. Last year for example we have a global and international television coverage by Sky TV International, and coverage of special Greek magazines and newspapers such as 'Yachts & Yachting', 'Dinghy', etc.. The weekend (22-May 23) one of the largest in circulation British newspaper News of the world has three page tribute to Lefkas and Water Sports.

All this leads us to continue our efforts to develop the water sports festival, as do the last three years. The vision becomes reality!

The festival is of reputation and credibility, thus attracting not only top athletes categories, and the parallel cultural events, attracting thousands of visitors to Lefkas and hence to Greece.

On this basis i would like your support and help. Specifically I would ask you to encourage athletes and coaches for your club to participate in the festival so that the image that we present in the water sports in Greece, have a wide variety of sailing classes, athletes and escorts in order to attract even more contributions from abroad.

Last year the opening of the festival went by Sofia Bekatorou who was the guest of honor of the festival along with the crew. Also attended by other members of the Greek Olympic team as crew heading Tornado, 4.70 for men.

This year the festival most Greek athletes. The news is that we are very pleased to offer free coaching camp for those who want the World Champion in the category Laser Master Anthony Bougiouri and the European champions and 2009 bronze world champions in Class Tornado, Jordan Paschalidis and Kostas Trigonis. Kostas Trigonis has been elected vice president of World Class Tornado.

Also in young athletes and companions of wanting to try a new experience, will offer free sailing lessons, and Windsurfing. For coaches of the group's stay is free for athletes will be there to offer accommodation only € 20,00 per day.

This year's program has a special feature! For the first time we will be able to be live on the Internet for many of our events. It is an opportunity to present the festival to a global audience!

I am sure they will respond to the call of the City Apollonioi and tell your members, athletes and coaches in order to involve all the water sports festival to become Royal Marine Sports Center International and watersport, a new institution in the Mediterranean equivalent of the Festival Marine Sports in Kiel, Germany.
